FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the sauna be used all year round?

Yes. Wellness One saunas are designed for reliable, year round use in the UK climate. The SIP construction combined with 100mm insulation in the walls, floor, and ceiling provides significantly higher insulation levels than standard outdoor saunas, ensuring excellent heat retention and stable internal temperatures.

This allows the sauna to perform consistently in all seasons, including winter and sub zero outdoor conditions, without increased running costs or extended heat up times.

What specification is included as standard?

All Wellness One outdoor saunas are built to a premium specification as standard. Our construction uses 200mm wall thickness with 100mm insulation in the walls, floor, and ceiling, delivering around three times more insulation than most mid range saunas and up to six times more insulation than barrel saunas, which typically have no insulation at all.

Every Wellness One outdoor sauna includes:

• 200mm wall construction with 100mm insulation in walls, floor, and ceiling
• Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) for superior thermal efficiency and year round performance
• Double glazed aluminium framed windows and doors
• Thermally modified timber exterior finishes
• Premium thermo aspen interior benches and backrests
• High quality HUUM electric heater
• Interior LED lighting
• Integrated ventilation system
• EPDM roofing for long term weather protection
• Pre delivery testing and commissioning
• 5 year comprehensive warranty

This specification ensures faster heat up times, lower running costs, and consistent temperatures even in winter and sub zero outdoor conditions.

Optional upgrades include Wi Fi controls, Bluetooth audio, infrared panels, and upgraded glass finishes.

How much do Wellness One outdoor saunas cost?

Our saunas start from £12,700 + VAT for the Lifestyle 1 model, with pricing scaling based on size, specification, and features. All prices include premium materials, 200mm wall construction with 100mm insulation, double glazed aluminium windows and doors, professional delivery, unloading, installation, and a 5 year warranty.

Because everything is designed and manufactured in house, pricing reflects long term performance, lower running costs, and durability over 20 plus years. A detailed quote is always provided before any commitment.

What is the lead time from order to delivery?

Typical lead time is approximately 8 to 10 weeks from order confirmation. This includes manufacturing, factory testing, and quality control prior to delivery.

During peak periods or promotional campaigns, lead times may extend slightly. Securing your order early locks in pricing and preferred delivery timing.

How much does it cost to run?

Thanks to the SIP construction and 100mm insulation throughout the walls, floor, and ceiling, Wellness One saunas are highly energy efficient. The insulation system provides around three times more insulation than most standard saunas and up to six times more than barrel saunas, significantly reducing heat loss.

Typical running costs are approximately £100 to £150 per year with regular use. In comparison, poorly insulated or barrel saunas can cost two to three times more to run because the heater must operate for longer periods to maintain temperature.

Most Wellness One saunas reach operating temperature in 20 to 30 minutes, allowing efficient, on demand use without unnecessary energy consumption.

Over the lifetime of the sauna, the reduced running costs and reliable year round performance contribute to a significantly better long term return on investment.

What temperatures can the sauna reach?

Wellness One saunas operate comfortably between 70°C and 110°C when used as a traditional sauna.

Most users prefer sessions between 80°C and 90°C. Thanks to the 100mm insulation and SIP construction, temperatures remain stable even in winter and sub zero outdoor conditions.

Hybrid sauna guidance
If your sauna includes infrared panels, we do not recommend using infrared and the sauna heater at the same time.
When using the infrared function, the recommended temperature range is 40°C to 60°C, and not higher.

What electrical connection is required?

All Wellness One saunas can operate on single phase power as standard. When running on single phase, the maximum heater size is 9kW.

Saunas can also be connected to three phase power, which allows for a higher kW heater if required. This option is commonly chosen for larger models or faster heat up performance.

Electrical connection and commissioning are not included in the sauna price. Commissioning can be completed either by:
• A qualified electrician arranged by the client, or
• A Wellness One approved electrician at an additional cost

Full technical specifications are provided in advance for your electrician.

Is installation included in the price?

Yes. Delivery, unloading, and installation are included in the price, with no hidden fees.

Your sauna is professionally delivered, positioned, and installed on your property. Electrical connection is completed separately by a qualified electrician after installation.

Do I need planning permission?

In most cases, planning permission is not required for a Wellness One outdoor sauna when installed within permitted development guidelines. This depends on factors such as size, placement, and local council regulations. We always recommend checking with your local authority, and our team can advise based on your layout.

What base or groundwork is required?

A solid, level base is required. This can be a concrete slab, paving, or a suitable structural deck. Full base specifications are provided before delivery to ensure correct preparation.

How do I clean and maintain the sauna?

Maintenance is simple and low effort.

• Wipe benches and surfaces with a damp cloth after use
• Allow ventilation after each session
• Clean floors occasionally with mild, non abrasive cleaners
• No harsh chemicals required

Thermo treated timber is naturally resistant to moisture, warping, and bacteria.
